Have you ever photobombed?

The Urban Dictionary simply defines a photobomb as “to drop in a photo unexpectedly…to hop in a picture right before it is taken.” It can be planned, done spontaneously or unexpectedly… but a photo that has been “photobombed” always end up with a funny result as seen in the photos below.

From animals doing the photobombing, to famous celebrities popping in for a spontaneous screen time, it just shows that anyone photobomb and anyone can be photobombed.

A photographer aims to change the way we see dogs that are labeled as “bully breeds” through a heartwarming photo project.

In 2012, photographer Douglas Sonders spearheaded a project called Not a Bully. This heartwarming project aims to change the perception of rescue dogs that have been unfairly labeled as bullies. There are 14 popular dog breeds under this bracket such as Boxers, Rottweilers and Pit Bulls. In essence, these dogs are labeled such because people believe that they are inherently mean, aggressive or even violent.

Sadly, shelters are crowded with loving bully breeds whose unfair stereotype severely limit their chances of ever finding a good home.

The Not a Bully project hopes to change all of that. Through these beautiful portraits that showcase these dogs, along with inspiring rescue stories, the project aims to educate the people on the fact that all rescue pets, no matter what breed, deserve a loving home.

Sonders’ inspiration for the project is a personal one. He himself has adopted his own rescue dog, a Pit Bull, black Labrador mix he named Emma. He recounts how Emma had been circulating the foster-care system for nine months and unable to find a permanent home because potential adopters had bee turned off by her “scary” appearance and pit-bull background.

It was after he had adopted Emma that he felt compelled to create the Not a Bully project, after realizing that photography was the perfect tool to show people what Emma and other pit bulls are really like.

Wedding photographer Jason Lee takes family portraits to a whole new fun and creative level.

Jason started taking photos of his two daughters, eight-year-old Kristin and five-year-old Kayla, back in 2006 when his mom was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Because the girls were often sick with colds and cough, he can’t always bring his daughters to visit their grandma and risk his mom catching their kid germs. He came up with the idea of a blog where we would constantly post about their lives, where his mom could easily read and get updates about his family.

Jason quips that most of the funny ideas used in their shoots are actually that of his two daughters.

Moscow-based photographer Katerina Plotnikova has already been featured in the past for her extraordinary work showcasing young women holding wild animals. She recently showcased an even more daring set of photos, featuring even larger and more exotic animals such as bears, elephants, giraffes and elk.

Plotnikova’s work shows a stunning yet haunting blend of surrealism with mythical and fairytale elements. A dreamy vibe is made possible through soft and muted colors resulting to enchanting photos. The stunning contrast between delicate, feminine models against powerful, wild animals helped to conjure images of regal princesses and fantasy and magic.

Though it may seem like capturing the images is risky and dangerous, Plotnikova assures everyone that she has sought the help of professional animal trainers all throughout the shoot, even showing behind-the-scene photos of a bear trainer giving out treats from over a model’s shoulder.

Dangling on a thin rope 650 feet (200m) above the floor in the world’s deepest natural shaft is just one of the feats of this British adventurer.

Cave and travel photographer Robbie Shone from Austria has led numerous adventures in the remote areas of China, Papua New Guinea, Borneo, the Alps and Crete. He has photographed the deepest, largest and longest cave systems in the world. He has explored the far ends of a 117 mile long cave system and has spent four days continuously underground doing shoots.

Here are some of his most spectacular shots, many taken from a 2012 excursion into the cave systems in Wulong County, China.

LA-based lifestyle photographer Grace Chon who specializes in animals has put together an incredibly cute and adorable series pf photographs showcasing her 10-month-old son Jasper and their 7-year-old rescue dog, Zoey.

Zoey was adoped by Chon in the US from an animal rescue team in Taiwan. Chon relates that Zoey was actually born in front of a shop in Taiwan, where the shop owner simply washed her and her siblings away into the gutter. Thankfully a passing schoolgirl saw the incident and rescued Zoey and her siblings.

The photos below show an adorable Jasper and his equally awesome-looking sidekick Zoey in matching hats, outfits and accessories.

Chon explained that she’s always dressed up her dogs in silly costumes and that after she had her baby, that’s when she started collecting hats for photos as well.

One day, I put one on Zoey and I had the epiphany that baby hats look ridiculously adorable on dogs too!
